• ASPA’s Grand Prize was awarded to ISTT’s settled Knowledge-based Company

ISTT’s settled company Aria Polymer Pishgam, was awarded the 2016 Grand Prize of the Asian Science Park Association (ASPA). ASPA annually holds this competition between the nominated companies of the members of its association to promote the commercialization of knowledge-based technologies, and to help in the effort of attracting international partnerships and finance to these companies. The final stage of this year’s judgment took place form the 19th to the 22nd of October 2016, during the 20th ASPA International Conference in Hyderabad, India. The Grand Prize was awarded to ISTT’S Aria Polymer Pishgam, for its production of Nono Composites and the Extrusion Reflex Technology.

The founder of Aria Polymer Pishgam started its activities as a fresh graduate from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) by participating in the competition section of the Annual Sheikh Bahai National Technopreneurship Festival, and thus becoming its first prize recipient. From there he founded a team and entered the pre-incubation process at ISTT with the core concept of producing Nano Composites PP/MMT. The company later graduated on to the Incubation process and eventually settled in the Sheikh Bahai Science Park. It was from the park that ISTT introduced and nominated the activities of this company to ASPA for participation in their annual competition.

ASPA Award recipients can use this international recognition and network to promote their global presence and endeavors and utilize its simultaneous exhibition of Knowledge –based products as a means to advertize their merchandise. To date 9 knowledge-based companies settled at ISTT have won the ASPA Award.
